Wang offers new and reconditioned VS computer systems and components,
VS Operating System and other system software, and hardware and
software maintenance for Wang and non-Wang systems. Wang also
offers various business services, resells some third party packages,
and has divisions specializing in government business and disaster
recovery.

Unfortunately, Access to Wang, "The Independent Magazine for Wang System Users," was shut down in September, 1998 by its new owners, American Visions Society. The termination of the mainstay publication appeared to have little to do with the size or condition of the VS market, and more to do with the magazine having become a pawn in a failed game of venture capital and business expansion by people unconcerned with the VS or its marketplace. American Visions did yeoman work in helping to destroy the VS marketplace by torpedoing its only print publication. Thanks, American Visions; you're a really swell bunch. Is there any chance we could talk you into buying the IRS and shutting it down, too?

hotvs.com is Don Winterhalter's exciting new electronic magazine ("e-zine"). With the closing of Access to Wang, hotvs.com is one of only two independent periodicals of any kind devoted to the VS user. New features and columns appear monthly.

IWUG and their newsletter, INSIGHT, are the most comprehensive sources of current technical information available outside Wang. I recommend that any organization intending to keep a VS system running for even a few more months join IWUG. The resolution of even one technical issue by virtue of access to INSIGHT and IWUG's other resources can easily pay for the very reasonable membership fee.
Alas, IWUG has shut down, too. The Website no longer exists and I have received no contact from IWUG in connection with making their defunct files available here.
