Getronics is the company that acquired Wang Global in 1999. Wang Global was the former Wang Laboratories, Inc. Everything that used to be under the names of Wang Global and Wang Laboratories is now under the name of Getronics.

Wang VS computer systems are maintained by Getronics. The VS group still exists and VS field service still exists. This page should help you bridge your understanding of who is who.

The VS group at Wang and later Getronics has long been supportive of The Unofficial Wang VS Information Center and through the years has contributed invaluable information unavailable from any other source. We have worked with and enjoyed assistance from the VS group in bringing you the VS Web Server, the DU utility and many of the details presented in this Website. Various parts of the former far-flung Wang organization worldwide have contributed software available here for download.

In the spirit of ongoing cooperation and mutual support we are pleased to present information on the current VS activities of Getronics as well as some new activities that are keeping some of the former VS staff productively occupied.
