I've been converting data to and from Wang since 1980 or so. Main claim to fame: PC software that can read VS Backup tapes (also BackBurner, UBU and Magbak). Even though we make some of our money helping folks migrate away from Wang systems, it's a bittersweet experience--have met lots of smart/nice people from Wang and related businesses, and we're gradually losing track of each other.
Some examples of our work:
Just converted 10 million pages of WIF and COLD files, and associated metadata for an insurance company. (came to us on 300+ BackBurner DAT tapes)
In the process of converting about 1/2 million WP and WP+ files to WordPefect for a court. (We estimate over 100 million pages of Wang WP/WP+ have been converted with our software over the years.)
