I think, but don't know, that InfoSharer is an obsolete product. You should call Wang and ask. I do know that there are newer products, though I've always found Wang's manner of configuring product offerings confusing -- it's never one product, it's a product that requires two or three other products. They have something called VS PC LAN Connection or something like that, that supports all kinds of data transfer and exchange.

There's also third party stuff from SBA (now a division of Sentinel), DPZ and Lightspeed. Data transfer is possible via the 928 coax connection and Winloc, and also over LAN and over async terminal emulation.

Maybe the most exciting thing, though, is that Wang's VS TCP/IP actually works. I've been using it on some larger VS systems, and it has an ftp server that can queue and resend failed transfers, that appears like any unix system when you call it from an ftp client. It also has outbound and inbound telnet, very good API's for writing TCP/IP applications, and I've even gone so far as to put together a proof-of-concept VS web server that handles HTML, graphic, CGI and VS print files. From the outside, using Netscape or MS IE, you can't tell it's a VS.

The biggest problem in using systems like the VS is that once they are viewed as "old" or out of fashion, no one wants to "spend any money" on them, so new or upgraded software is not acquired and outrageous bargains in the used equipment market are totally ignored -- a really self-defeating approach.
